On Sunday, Jonathan and I seperated in London with him flying home to Miami, and I grabbed a relatively short flight to New Jersey via JFK. I didn’t realize I would be caught in the traffic on Long Island leaving the Hamptons late on a Sunday afternoon, but eventually got to New Jersey for a week of fun work activities!
On Monday morning, I played in Val Skinner’s Life Event annual outing at Mountain Ridge Country Club, and had a great time. The weather was nice, I had a good night’s rest, and had a terrific group to play with on Monday. Monday evening I headed to Metedeconk National Golf Club, and spent the evening with my friends Chauncey and Teddy Durkin. The evening was full of laughs and it was a great stop before I drove the rest of the way to Atlantic City for this week’s Shop-Rite Classic!
This was my 2nd full event on The Golf Channel, and I feel much more confident each week. I need to tell you, these professionals make it look sooo easy. They should make every player watch for a day so that they can be more appreciative of how difficult it is to make a telecast happen!
My heartfelt thanks goes out to my coworkers this week, Brian Hammons, Charlie Rymer, Kay Cockerill, Val Skinner, Vicki Goetze-Ackerman, and the dozens of great people behind the scenes that make the production turn out so well. Their encouragement and teamwork makes the job fun, and I appreciate it very much.
Tonight I am headed to my Uncle Jack’s before catching a flight from PHL back to PBI tomorrow morning. While I hear it’s really hot in South Florida, it will be good to be home for a while after a hectic 5 weeks on the road!

Finally, congratulations to Ai Miyazato for her win today and #1 world ranking. Ai is a class act and a terrific ambassador of the LPGA. She is always smiling and saying hi to everyone!
