I finished my vacation with a wonderful weekend in New York City. Christie Kerr invited me to her 5th annual “Birdies for Breast Cancer” on Friday, so I took advantage of her hospitality and stayed the weekend. The event was held at Liberty National Golf Club, and I took a boat every day from my hotel in Battery Park to the club on the west side of the Hudson River. As you can see, I had a wonderful opportunity to pay my respects to Lady Liberty!
The event was very well attended and Christie was a great host. Dinner was prepared by the awesome Todd English of Olives fame, with master of ceremonies Maurice Dubois. I even got the chance to hang with Hercules himself, Kevin Sorbo! (see below).
The rest of the weekend I spent as an anonymous tourist, seeing South Pacific at Lincoln Center, and seeing Lady Liberty again in Central Park! (see below).
All in all, a great weekend in NYC.
I am home now, resting my feet, and will be cheering on Christie Kerr and the rest of my friends in the Solheim Cup.
