I have had a great time in Maine, enjoying 3 lobsters and 1 lobster roll during my stay. The weather has been absolutely perfect…temps in the mid 70’s, low humidity, and not a cloud in the sky! The ocean tempature has even been a warm 63 degrees! The smile above is actually a grimace….a Florida girl doesn’t understand how people can go in this water!!
I have been getting alot of sun and wearing my flip flops…my golfer tan (as opposed to a farmer tan) is alot less distinct than it was a few weeks ago. But I do get a lot of looks! Ha.
On Saturday, we headed up to Kennebunkport, and stopped by Walkers Point, the Bush Family Compound. Its quite a place…Prescott Bush, GB 41’s father, had quite the foresight to pick up this place … absolutely beautiful surroundings. You can get a gist of it from the photo below!

The cool thing about Walkers Point is their windmill. I understand the Bushes had this installed fairly recently. Great move considering the constant breeze on the Maine Coast.

A friend emailed President GHWB on Saturday telling him that we were in town (He has been the President of the USGA…and his grandfather George H Walker was the original founder of the Walker’s Cup), but he didn’t get the message until we had left. I had watched his 85th birthday parachute jump on TV a few weeks ago, and wanted to congratulate him!
I am headed to Cape Cod for a few days… will report more from there!
