I have been having a great weekend here at home. Last night, Friday, my friend Marci and I headed to the Rascal Flatts concern courtesy of my friend Darius Rucker. Darius, who many know as “Hootie” of Hootie and the Blowfish, was opening for Rascal Flatts.

While there was a lot of rain nearby, and it was very hot and muggy, the concert was great and we had a wonderful time. Sitting next to me was Yankees great Bucky Dent and his wife MaryAnn, and I helped him get backstage to meet D. Bucky – you owe me some Yankees tickets now!!

I went to high school with a guy that went to college with Darius in South Carolina. In fact, my friend played in a band and Darius and the boys opened for them!! His name is Steve Porter. Small world – 2 degrees of separation!
