Its been a crazy couple days in Rochester. On Wednesday evening, a few of us, including Danielle Downey, Nancy Lopez, and Meredith Duncan, were guests of tournament sponsor Wegman’s at a store celebrating the tournament. They had 18 holes of putting throughout the stores and we coached the customers in their efforts to win prizes! While I love Publix at home in Florida, Colleen Wegman and her team do a first class job at the Wegman’s stores across the east coast! I told her I would love to see one down our way!
On Thursday I tee’d off late, but due to lightning and stormy conditions, play was suspended a number of times. I was hitting the ball well, and had 5 birdies, but the stopping hurt my timing a bit. As of 8:30pm, we didn’t finish, so I had to be back in position at 7am on Friday to finish 17 and 18, to go +2.
After about an hour break, we tee’d off at 8:30. Again, due to lots of thunder boomers in the area, play was suspended numerous times, and I finally finished about 6:30pm. That’s a long day of golf. I played really well, but the stopping/starting took its toll, and I finished +2.
My plantar fasciatis is still very bad, and I am hobbling quite a bit. I have been wearing a brace to stretch my foot at night, and its been helping a bit!
I have met some great new friends in Rochester, including Rochester High golf team members Ashley and Stephanie (see below).

Today Saturday, I went to see a lacrosse game being played by Aidan Olmstead. The Olmstead’s are great friends who live in Corning…just a few hours to the east. I stayed with them during the Corning Classic a few weeks ago. Below is a photo of Aidan and his sisters Logan and Riley and me earlier today!

I hope everyone is doing well and planning for a great 4th of July holiday next weekend!
