I made some new friends while visiting Springfield, IL a few weeks ago! These girls lived along one of the fairways, and for the past few years have said hello in nice, large colorful letters! Our group had a bit of extra time, so I went by and said hello!
I arrived in Rochester, NY on Friday, and am staying with my old friends Dave and Mary Butters. I came up a bit early to participate in my pal Danielle Downey’s annual pro-am. While the weather was less than perfect, we still have a great time. As we are pretty darn close to due west of Long Island, we had a couple hour head’s up of the weather that the US Open would experience. However, it seemed like they were spared much of the rain we received!
Today I am catching up on some correspondence, and maybe later I will head out to catch a movie with some of the girls who came up for the Pro-Am! Everyone keeps talking about “The Hangover”. I definitely want to see it!!
Today’s is Father’s Day, and I am sad I am not home with him for his special day. But I called and was happy to hear that he and my brother JC were out playing golf on a nice day in South Florida! I am glad Dad is doing what he enjoys on his special day!
