As you read in my prior posts, I arrived in Williamsburg on Saturday evening, to then spend a evening and a full day in an LPGA Player “Summit”. After the meeting ended, I caught a quick flight to Harrisburg, PA where I participated in the 23rd annual Miracle Pro-Am Golf Tournament at the Frosty Valley Country Club in Danville, PA. Canon coordinated my attendance at the event. The day was organized by Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger and helped raise funds to support the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital pediatric services. Above is a pic of me and my new friend Steve Shannon!
While the weather was very poor (as the whole east coast has been a giant puddle recently), we had a great time for a great cause. However, to get back to Williamsburg on Tuesday evening, I had to make a change of flights because Allentown wasn’t flying, so I drove all the way to Philly to get out in time. By the time I got into my bed at the Grogan’s place, it was almost 1am! Sure, it was a long 36 hours, but it was well worth it to help my friends like Steve.
I am getting ready for another days worth of events today, along with some practice. My tee time is in the early afternoon on Thursday…I am hoping that the rain will stop just in time for me!
